Who you are dealing with
Your contract is directly with Kenii. Springer Studios provides design, launch, and customization services as an official partner, while Kenii owns and maintains the core software platform.
What you license
Access is granted by module. You license the capabilities your institution purchases, running natively on your own WordPress site.
If a license lapses
Public rendering and admin editing pause, but your database records remain intact on your own server. We do not delete, alter, or hold your catalog content hostage.
Your data ownership
Your programs, courses, credentials, and policies belong to your college. You may export your entire dataset in open JSON or CSV formats at any time without asking permission.

Software license fees depend on your total program volume and selected module packages, as outlined in your order form.

The sections below are the substance of the agreement your institution signs. Ask us for the complete executed text at any point in an evaluation, before anyone commits to anything.
- Parties and definitions
- The contract is executed between the subscribing institution and Kenii, and defines the boundary of third-party services provided by Springer Studios as a partner rather than as the platform owner.
- License grant and scope
- A non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the Kenii modules your institution has purchased within your own WordPress environment, for the term of the agreement.
- Database sovereignty and license expiration
- On expiration or non-renewal, plugin execution pauses. All database tables, schemas, and content records remain on your own server and remain the exclusive property of the institution. Nothing is deleted, encrypted, or withheld.
- Data ownership and portability
- Unrestricted access to bulk exports in JSON and CSV through the WordPress admin and the documented REST API, available at any time and without requesting permission from us.
- Fees, billing, and renewal
- Billing terms, program volume tiers, and the notice period before any renewal adjustment. Annual billing carries the equivalent of two months at no charge against the monthly rate.
- Termination and post-termination rights
- Termination for cause or for convenience on both sides, with immediate and unhindered rights to extract your data on the way out.
- Support services and availability
- What support covers, how updates are delivered, and the maintenance commitments that come with an active license.
- Intellectual property, liability, and governing law
- Kenii retains ownership of the core platform. Standard liability limitations apply, and the agreement specifies the governing jurisdiction.
