Upload a PDF catalog archive
Attach a PDF to a catalog year so students can download it. This covers uploading
your own PDF file (for example a finalized, hand-formatted catalog you already
produced, or an archived catalog from before you moved to Kenii). Kenii can also
generate a catalog PDF automatically from your program, credential, and course
data; a year with a hand-uploaded PDF will not have its file overwritten by that
automatic generation.
- Go to Catalog Years in the sidebar.
- Find the year and, in the Catalog PDF column, click Upload PDF.
- In the media library that opens, upload or select a PDF file, then click
Attach PDF.
The file now appears in that column as a link, with a remove button next to it. The
public “Download the Catalog (PDF)” link on your catalog pages, and the
/kenii/v1/catalog-pdf/{id} and /kenii/v1/catalog-pdf/active endpoints, serve
this file for that year.
Follow the same steps in the Calendar PDF column to attach a separate academic
calendar PDF to the year.
To remove an uploaded PDF, click the × next to its filename in the Catalog PDF
or Calendar PDF column.
If you want Kenii to go back to generating the catalog PDF automatically for a year
that currently has a hand-uploaded file, remove the uploaded PDF first. Kenii
won’t overwrite a hand-uploaded file while one is attached. Regenerating the
automatically-built PDF on demand requires a WordPress administrator account;
attaching or removing your own uploaded PDF does not.
